- Status updates – Updating the status of the project based on the project execution details.
- Change management comprises of;
- Setting up of a change control board (CCB) for the project, which will have representation of the relevant stakeholders (Project manager, Quality manager, Engineering manager, Supplier representatives, Architects etc).
- Raising change requests
- Evaluation of the change requests / Impact analysis
- Implementation of the approved change requests
- Communication about both the approved and rejected change requests
- Iteration burn down chart – Within schedule, teams prepare short duration look ahead plans for next four to eight weeks. Progress of these are tracked using burn down charts
- Performance reviews – How are we doing schedule wise?. How are we doing budget wise?.
- Trend analysis – schedule trend, cost trend, defects trend…
- Variance analysis – schedule variance, cost variance
- What if scenario analysis – What is the impact on schedule if we add more resources?. What is the impact on schedule and cost if we do automated testing than manual testing?
